A note from Arella...
Finding the balance amidst all the activity of life is challenging. While we all have different roles we play during the day, it's important to take time out to simply be. After all, we are human beings, not human doings. That could mean taking a nap when you're tired or sitting in your favorite chair at home and relaxing or spending time outside and taking in the beauty of the trees, the flowers, and the sky. I'm talking about the simple things that bring us back to where we are in the moment...integrating beingness into the fabric of our lives in some way, shape, or form -- the type of beingness that doesn't require a plan or a carved out period of time -- just a spontaneous letting go into something that makes you feel good.

"Be aware of wonder. Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some." ~ Robert Fulghum

Tips For Healthy Living
Spend time in the sunshine. Take in that Vitamin D and bask in the rays of the glorious sun. Go for a walk on the beach, or for a stroll around your neighborhood, drive with the top down, or consider going to Harbin Hot Springs where you can really let your whole body absorb the sunshine. :-)
Play inspiring music to help you stay productive and focused during the day. I often listen to classical music for this reason and recently purchased Mozart for Brain Power on itunes and love it. I'm listening to it now as I write this newsletter. For those classical music lovers out there, you may want to check out the movie Mozart's Sister. Jeffrey and I saw the movie over the weekend at Bridge Theater in San Francisco and got really inspired. Very interesting story.
Try rolling around on a yoga/fitness ball (this is the one I use) to open the front and back parts of your body. I've been adding this to my daily routine for fun and I've noticed a positive difference in my body. I feel more limber and expansive. As a result, I'm able to go deeper more effortlessly in my yoga poses. Plus, it's fun to explore different movements, to play, and be spontaneous on the ball.
To your radiant health!
Namaste,
Arella
